Regional Campground Bookings

Listed below are the 2 municipally-owned regional parks in the area - there are several others that are managed by BC Parks. To learn about more camping, tourism and recreational opportunities in the Northern Rockies, please visit TourismNorthernRockies.ca.

 

Tetsa River Regional Park and Campground
 Located 96.2 kilometres north of Fort Nelson just past Steamboat Mountain, you will find the well-groomed Tetsa River Regional Park with trails for activities such as hiking, biking and horseback riding. Don’t forget your camera!

Tetsa River Regional Campground is located a few kilometres south of Tetsa River Lodge and has 25 unserviced campsites that may be reserved in advance for $20/night including tax and firewood, online or by contacting the Northern Rockies Regional Recreation Centre at 250.774.2541 option 1. It is a popular location for locals on the weekend due to its proximity to Fort Nelson.

  • From May to October the campground is operated by a contractor.
  • Sites 1-13 can accommodate larger units and motorhomes; Sites 17-25 can accommodate units up to a maximum of 27 feet.
  • Camping is available both by drop-in and reservations.  Reservations are available online and by contacting the Northern Rockies Regional Recreation Centre at 250.774.2541 option 1.
  • If dropping in to camp overnight, please take note of campsites that have been marked as reserved; there will be a reservation tag on the site’s post.
  • UPDATE: As of March 2023, The permit for the hand pump well now falls under a non-potable permit. The water can be used for non-domestic purposes and general sanitation only.  The water is non potable and not fit for human consumption
 

Andy Bailey Regional Park and Campground
 The Andy Bailey Campground turnoff is located on the Alaska Highway Mile 265, 27.6 kilometers south of Fort Nelson, just past the NorthRiver Midstream (formerly Enbridge) gas plant, then another 12 kilometers on a maintained gravel road. Beginning in 2020, the road to the lake will be maintained during the winter months so that residents can take advantage of outdoor activities year-round.
  • The campground is open May to September, with 12 unserviced campsites (may not be suitable for large RVs over thirty feet).
  • There is a boat launch for non-motorized watercraft and various amenities for day trips.
  • Price per night is $17 including tax. Please note that firewood is not available for purchase.
  • Reservations are available online and by contacting the Northern Rockies Regional Recreation Centre at 250.774.2541 option 1.
