The Northern Rockies Regional Municipality (NRRM) will be repaving the main parking lot serving Town Hall, the Library and the Phoenix Theatre, starting as early as August 5, expected to continue over approximately two weeks. Construction schedules are weather dependent and may change due to unforeseen conditions.
During construction, there will be restricted vehicle access to the main parking lot. The sidewalk improvements currently underway at the front of the building will be completed before paving begins, providing on-street parking on the Service BC frontage road (identified in green on the attached map). Please avoid parking in the areas marked in red on the attached map, as these spaces are needed for construction crews.
Pedestrian access to Town Hall, the Library and the Phoenix Theatre will remain open throughout construction using the brick pathways along the building. Please note that this route includes stairs and is not wheelchair accessible. Visitors requiring accessible parking or access are encouraged to contact the facility they are visiting in advance if they need assistance.
NRRM appreciates the public's patience while these improvements are completed and encourages visitors to use available on-street parking during the project.
