About Us
The Northern Rockies Regional Recreation Centre offers a wide variety of spaces and activities.
- Aquatic Centre (25-metre lane pool & leisure pool): lanes for lap swimming, plus a leisure pool with water features suitable for families and lessons
- Pool accessibility supports: wall-mounted lifts in the universal change room and a low-profile wheelchair for moving across pool surfaces.
- Accessibility throughout the facility: automatic door openers, an elevator, ramps, accessible parking at each entrance, and wheelchair-accessible arena seating and change rooms
- Climbing wall (6 metres): indoor climbing wall used during scheduled sessions (see climbing schedule)
- Squash / racquetball court: indoor court available for booking and play
- Curling rink: dedicated ice surface for curling activities
- Arenas (two multi-use): ice activities in winter and indoor sports during summer
- Walking track (118 metres, panoramic): track overlooking the Aquatic Centre with visibility of the pool area
- 3-storey Rotary Club play structure: large indoor play structure donated by the Rotary Club of Fort Nelson
- Fitness room: space for classes and individual workouts
- Community hall: venue for events and community programs
Kidzone activity room: dedicated room for childcare, children’s activities and programs

Recreation Financial Assistance Program
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy our programs - did you know the NRRM offers a fabulous program called the Leisure Access Program (LAP).
The LAP provides fee reductions for people with lower incomes in the community, including new eligibility for those with disabilities. Receive 40 free swim passes and 75% discount on registered Rec Centre programs for one year. You will need to complete a new application annually to ensure that you're still eligible.Come in to the Rec Centre or contact Krista to find out more:
