Northern Rockies Fire Rescue (NRFR) will once again be coordinating the annual Poppy Campaign in Fort Nelson on behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion.

The Poppy Campaign raises funds to support Veterans and their families. These funds are restricted to programs and services that directly benefit Veterans and their dependants. A portion of the funds also supports local organizations that assist Veterans, including the Fort Nelson Hospital Foundation and the Veterans Transition Program, which helps military personnel returning from conflict areas transition back into their communities.

We would be grateful for your participation in this year's campaign and appreciate your continued support in recognizing and honouring those who have served.

For the 2026 campaign, the following options are available:

  • Crosses: $35.00 (16 available)
  • Regular wreaths: $50.00 (30 available)
  • Large wreaths: $75.00 (13 available)

If purchasing a wreath or cross isn't the right fit, donations of any amount are also gratefully accepted.

Most wreaths will be displayed on the stage before the Remembrance Day ceremony, and contributors' names will be acknowledged during the service. If you are a wreath holder who will be laying a wreath during the ceremony, I will contact you directly with further details.

Please reach out at your earliest convenience if you would like to participate in the 2026 Poppy Campaign. Contact Jennifer by email at [email protected] or by phone at 250-774-3955.

Payment can be made by cheque payable to Northern Rockies Firefighters Association or by cash. Payments can be dropped off at the Firehall, and cheque pickup can also be arranged for your convenience.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Thank you,
Northern Rockies Fire Rescue
