An initial assessment of all spaces within the Municipal Hall complex has been completed by structural engineers.
What’s happening now:
- The Library, Phoenix Theatre, Service BC, Northern Health Clubhouse, Fort Nelson Playschool and Grace Manor have all been deemed safe for occupancy.
- Northern Rockies Admin Offices will remain closed and front counter services have been relocated to the front desk of the recreation centre.
- A more in-depth assessment of the damaged area is being completed, and recommendations are being developed to remediate the concerns. We expect the assessment to be completed within the next 10 days.
