Northern Rockies Fire Rescue and the BC Wildfire Service will soon be conducting controlled pile burns west of Fort Nelson, along the Alaska Highway toward Parker Lake, beside the Parker Lake roadway, and on the Old Alaska Highway near the Pipeline Bypass Road.
Smoke may be visible during these operations. Parker Lake Road will be closed on burn days for safety. The exact dates will depend on weather and venting conditions.
