Fallen Firefighter Memorial Day in Canada is observed on Sunday, September 13. This year, Northern Rockies Fire Rescue members will be participating in specialized training and will be unable to observe the day as they normally would.
To honour the occasion, Northern Rockies Fire Rescue is inviting the community to join them for a memorial walk on Tuesday, September 15 at 7:00 PM.
The walk will begin at the Northern Rockies Fire Hall, 5013 Cordova Way, and continue to Gary Giffin Memorial Park.
The community is invited to walk in honour of fallen firefighters across Canada and, in particular, to remember four Northern Rockies Fire Rescue members who lost their lives in the line of duty:

- Paul Tell #39
- Don Wagner #6
- Ryan Kerr #11
This gathering provides an opportunity for firefighters, families, friends, fellow first responders and community members to come together, remember their service and sacrifice, and honour the lasting impact they have had on our community.
