Volunteers Needed for Airport Emergency Exercise
The Northern Rockies Regional Airport is looking for volunteers to participate in a full-scale emergency exercise on Tuesday September 22, 2026. This exercise is a Transport Canada requirement conducted every four years and involves Airport Staff, Fire Rescue, RCMP, BC Ambulance Service, the Municipality, and the NRRM Emergency Operations Centre.
We are looking for approximately 16 volunteers (or more!) to help play the roles of:
🩹 Plane crash victims with varying injury levels
👋 Friends and family members ("meet and greeters") in the terminal building
Exercise Start: 10:00 a.m., Debrief: 12:00 p.m. at the Terminal Building. Pizza Lunch Provided.
