If it feels like we've had more snow this year, you're right. Between October and January of last year, we received 103 cm and we've received 133 cm already this year.
Our snow crews require your your help to keep our roads clear. The majority of our snow removal activities take place within standard operating hours, which are Monday to Friday from 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. Our procedures do allow for snow removal services after hours and on weekends In the event of a heavy or lengthy snowfall.
We understand that sometimes windrows left on your driveway by our plow trucks or sidewalk machine - unfortunately our crews usually do not have time to remove these.
We'd also like to remind everyone to avoid infractions against Property Maintenance and Unsightly Premises Bylaw Section 3 and Traffic Control Bylaw Section 6. Please refrain from:
- pushing snow from private driveways or parking lots on to the street or across the street
- placing snow on boulevards at intersections
- placing snow over sewer or manhole covers, water main valves or fire hydrants, or from
- parking on streets and roads when the road is in need of clearing.
