Public Notice: Water Quality Update

Last night, a glitch in the automation system at the water treatment plant caused higher-than-normal amounts of chlorine to be added to the water for a few hours. The issue has been fixed.

You may notice a stronger chlorine taste or smell in the water for the next day or two. The water is still safe to drink, but people who are sensitive to chlorine may prefer to wait until levels return to normal.

We continue to monitor the system as regular levels are re-established. If you have any questions, please contact the Public Works Department at 250.774.2541 ext 2090.
