A Public Hearing will be held at the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality (NRRM) Municipal Office, located at 5319 – 50th Avenue South, Fort Nelson, BC at 6:00 pm on Monday, December 8th, 2025 for the purpose of providing the public with an opportunity to make representations to the Regional Council respecting matters contained in the Official Community Plan (OCP) Bylaw that outlines community’s revised vision, principles, objectives, and policies regarding land use, future growth and development.
The purpose of the proposed Bylaw No. 242, 2025 is to replace the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality Official Community Plan Bylaw No.64, 2011.
Copies of the proposed bylaw may be inspected at the NRRM Municipal Office, Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm from November 28th, 2025 to December 8th, 2025 or links below:

Any persons who believe their interest in property may be affected by the proposed bylaw shall be afforded the opportunity to be heard in person, by a representative or by written submission, on the matters contained within the proposed bylaws at the Public Hearing.
An opportunity to attend or address Council in the Public Hearing will also be available virtually. For information on how to participate virtually, please contact admin@northernrockies.ca.

The subject area to which this Official Community Plan applies is the Fort Nelson area and its surrounding rural area, as shown in the image below, and does not include the entire Northern Rockies Regional Municipality, nor does it include Fort Nelson First Nation reserve lands.
