Call for members: 2021-2024 Board of Variance

Regional Council invites residents to apply as volunteer members to the Board of Variance.

Guided by the Local Government Act and Board of Variance Bylaw No. 195, 2021, the Board of Variance meets on an as-needed basis to hear requests for:

• Relief from the requirements of the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality Zoning Bylaw No. 119, 2016
• To permit variances or exemptions in the case of hardship, in keeping with the Regional Council’s general philosophies to uphold their bylaws. 

Regional Council will appoint three citizen members to the Board of Variance for a three-year term. Citizen appointments will be decided on and reported at a Regional Council meeting.
