National Accessibility Week Proclaimed May 25-31, 2025 in the Northern Rockies
The Northern Rockies Regional Municipality (NRRM) has officially proclaimed May 25–31, 2025 as National Accessibility Week.
National Accessibility Week is an opportunity to recognize the progress being made in removing barriers and promoting inclusion for people of all abilities. It is also a time to reaffirm our collective commitment to creating a more accessible and welcoming community for all.
To celebrate, the NRRM is hosting a free public swim at the Northern Rockies Recreation Centre on Saturday, May 31 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Attendees will also have the chance to win a door prize.
Residents with an interest in accessibility, or with feedback on accessibility-related matters, are encouraged to get involved by:
-
Applying to join the Accessibility & Inclusion Committee
-
Submitting feedback through the Accessibility Feedback Form available online
