Expression of Interest: FireSmart and Wildfire Resiliency Committee
The Northern Rockies Regional Municipality (NRRM) is seeking 12-15 dedicated individuals to join the local FireSmart and Wildfire Resiliency Committee.
This committee will focus on:
Providing recommendations, education, and actions to reduce wildfire risks and manage fuel mitigation.
Offering input and feedback to help develop a Community Wildfire Resiliency Plan.
We are looking for individuals with diverse knowledge, experience, or perspectives, including but not limited to:
Fire mitigation and behavior
Construction or landscaping
Critical infrastructure (e.g., utilities)
Local businesses or recreation users
Agriculture, forestry, or industry
Traditional knowledge and community topography
Application Requirements: Please describe your experience, skills, and knowledge relevant to wildfire resiliency and FireSmart principles.
