The NRRM is very pleased to announce the rescind of the two remaining alerts in our region. We want to express our immense amount of gratitude to the hardworking team at BC Wildfire, including all of the contract fire crews from other areas of the Province, Canada, and the world who assisted with this year’s fire season. Special thanks go to all of the folks who worked out of our local Zone Office this year - we know you all worked tirelessly to keep our community safe in this intense wildfire season and we can't thank you enough.
We urge everyone to remember that even with the crisp air moving in, we are still in wildfire season. The risk of wildfires is still at large and land users need to be mindful and practice safe measures when starting, having, and extinguishing a fire.
