Evacuation Alert Issued for Nogah Creek Fire G90228 & Patry Creek Fire G90207
An Evacuation Alert has been issued by the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality at the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) at May 9, 2024 5:00 p.m., at the recommendation of BC Wildfire Service because of the potential danger to life and health, caused by active wildfires located in both the Patry Creek area approximately 40 km from the junction of the Alaska Highway and Highway 77 and the Nogah Creek area approximately 60 km east of Fort Nelson. The Evacuation Alert for the following area as shown in the attached map which is a polygon bounded:
- At the north west corner 59 29’ 12.40” N and 123 38’16.54” W and south following the Snake River to 58 58’26.48” N and 122 28’50.80” W
- At the south west corner 58 29’16.37” N and 121 51’19.72” W
- At the south east corner 58 30’44.62” N and 120 49’10.31” W
- At the north east corner 59 11’17.88” N and 120 52’50.24” W

This Evacuation Alert has been issued to prepare you to evacuate your premises or property should it be found necessary. Residents will be given as much advance
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IF YOU ARE IN THE EVACUATION ALERT AREA:
- Locate all family members and designate a meeting area outside the evacuation area, should an Evacuation Order be called while separated.
- Pack essential items such as government-issued ID, medications, eyeglasses, valuable papers (e.g. insurance, credit, and mortgage information), immediate care needs for dependents and, if time and space permits, keepsakes for quick departure.
- Prepare to move vulnerable persons, children and/or neighbours, if assistance is needed.
- Prepare to take pets with you and move livestock to a safe area (if possible).
- Arrange transportation for all your household members. Fill the gas tanks of personal vehicles.
- Arrange accommodation for all members of the residence, if possible. In the event of an evacuation, Reception Centres will be opened if required.
- Pre-register all household members on the provincial Evacuee Registration & Assistance (ERA) Tool at ess.gov.bc.ca Persons who have a BC Services Card may be eligible to receive an E Transfer using the BC Services Card App.
- Wait for an Evacuation Order to be issued before evacuating. Monitor news sources for information on evacuation orders and location of Reception Centres.
