The preferred qualifications and expertise include:
  • A university degree in a related field (e.g., marketing, communications, public administration, health administration) and/or an equivalent combination of education and at least five years’ experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment and retention including needs assessment, supply planning, developing recruitment campaigns, supporting virtual and on-site visits and understanding the needs of health care providers and their families relocating to a new community.
  • The candidate will recognize the importance of developing and sustaining high-accountability relationships with public and private sector health care employers at the community, regional, and, as needed, provincial level.
  • This position has frequent contact with health care providers, health employers, First Nations, media and community partners requiring exceptional communication skills. Considerable tact and diplomacy.
