Fort Nelson Elk's Fund

Elks of Canada LogoThe Fort Nelson Elks' Lodge Fund for Children's Medical Assistance provides funds to purchase pediatric medical equipment, supplies, services or medical travel for children birth to 19 years of age, who have an identified medical or developmental concern. Funds are intended for low income families in the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality who are not able to afford the financial cost of such equipment or services themselves.

Province of BC Travel Assistance Program (TAP)

Shriner's Care for Kids

Physician's referrals are not necessary as cases are reviewed by Shriners Hospitals' doctors to determine the best course of treatment. Appointments are prioritized based on medical need. Treaty 8 Tribal Association (T8TA) Medical Transportation

Treaty 8 Tribal Association LogoThe T8TA provides medical transportation benefits to support all registered Off-Reserve First Nations clients living in the Northeast region to access health services not available in their community of residence, including within the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality. First Nations clients living On-Reserve can access the same benefits through their band office.
