FORT NELSON - The event involving the RCMP that occurred in Fort Nelson on September 8, 2022 involving an armed suspect at a local business has raised questions about the NRRM's Voyent Alert system, in relation to its purpose, and why alert of the incident was limited to schools and only certain organizations, and not communicated broadly community-wide.

On Wednesday, August 31st, Mayor & Council corresponded with MP Bob Zimmer with regard to the continuity of mail service following the Sikanni River Bridge accident that occurred on August 25, 2022.
