It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of coworker and friend Mike Irwin.  We are deeply saddened by this loss, but are looking back fondly at the time we spent with him and the many memories that we shared. 

His care-free attitude and unique anecdotes for whatever situation arose, led to many smiles.  He was a man who lived his life creating experiences by travelling the world and taking on adventures for the bold.  He was an avid marathon runner and was often seen...

Recycling Made Easy with the NRRM's Bottle Donation Program

Want to recycle but don’t have time to sort your bottles and cans? The Bottle Donation Program encourages residents to easily recycle by bringing unsorted cans and bottles to the blue bins located at Wide Sky Disposals and the Northern Rockies Landfill. Local non-profit groups will sort your recyclables for you, to help raise money for activities and events.

The Northern Rockies is seeking to establish an Environmental Advisory Committee to help guide Council decisions around sustainability and waste diversion in the NRRM. Wildfire Fuel Management in the Community

We're taking steps to manage the risk of wildfire to the community. In November and December, surface fuels such as branches and limbs will be removed from the perimeter of the Community Trail in areas adjacent to Airport Drive. Falling, thinning and limbing of trees to reduce the risk of wildfire will also be happening in an area north of Lagoon Road.

The affected areas are highlighted in black on the map. For your safety, please keep your distance if you see people working in these areas falling...
