Pursuant to the Emergency Disaster Management Act, a joint Evacuation Order has been issued by the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality and Fort Nelson First Nations. A wildfire burning approximately 12 kms west of the community is posing immediate threat to life, health and property.

The NRRM is seeking the placement of approximately 6500 square meters of 40mm asphalt for roads, 1800 square meters of road repaving, 400 square meters of asphalt trail reconstruction, asphalt patching, miscellaneous concrete placement, and completion of site improvements including hydroseed, topsoil, and planting of trees.
