Work Underway: Rural Water West Pump Station Upgrades

Disruption to RWW Water Service Nov 19-Dec 3

Between Tuesday, November 19 and Tuesday, December 3, the Rural Water West service area will be subject to water service disruptions as upgrades are completed on three pump stations serving the area.

The shutdowns will permit upgrades to be completed, including piping replacements and installation of backup water pumps.

Rural Water West (RWW) residents will be notified 48 hours in advance of water service disruptions, through the door-to-door delivery of notices.

Residents of the RWW water distribution area may also experience murky/cloudy water periodically over the next two weeks. This is a result of fine suspended particles of clay, silt, organic and inorganic matter that are being disturbed in the water lines as the water supply is turned on and off.

If the water is excessively discoloured, run a COLD water tap for ten to twenty minutes to flush your pipes, and do not use your laundry machines or run hot water, until the water clears up.

We apologize for this inconvenience, and thank you for your patience as we upgrade the RWW Pump Stations.
