Public Notice

2016 Dog Licensing

Please note that we will not receive NRRM dog tags until February 1, 2016. Notice will be given once license tags are available for pick-up.

All dogs over the age of 8 weeks living in Fort Nelson (see map) must have a current license.

Dogs are required to wear their dog license at all times. It must be affixed to a collar around the dog’s neck. Any unlicensed dog can be impounded for failure to have a dog license.

Fees for licenses differ depending on whether:

  • The dog is spayed or neutered, or
  • The owner is a senior citizen
