Instances of COVID-19 have been reported in the Northern Health operating area.

    • Frequent cleaning and disinfection of work surfaces
    • Increased overall sanitation
    • Restricted access to worksites
    • Increased communication regarding personal hygiene and social distancing

REMINDER

No flushing of wipes, please! We've started seeing clogging at our sanitary sewage pump systems. Please do not flush any type of wipes down toilets. Wipes, including disinfecting wipes and wipes marked as "flushable", are to be disposed of in the garbage.

Northern Rockies Regional Airport

Central Mountain Air (CMA): Effective April 11 through July 6, scheduled flights will be suspended while charters remain available, click here to learn more.

The Northern Rockies Regional Airport will ONLY be open to passengers that have flights arriving or departing that day and will be closed to all other general public until further notice. Notice

Parks/Campgrounds

All local playgrounds and pocket parks: Closed

 

BC Parks: For this camping season, "Discover Camping" will be operating with a 2-month rolling booking window. This means that when the system opened today, visitors are able to book reservations for arrival dates for the next two months up to July 25. On May 26, July 26 arrivals will be available; this 2 month window will continue until the end of the reservable period for each park. In support of staying local and avoiding unnecessary travel, BC residents will be given preferential access for the 2020 camping season.Please note that closing dates for each park is different.

Liard Hot Springs Provincial Park: The campground will be opening on June 1st BUT THE HOT POOLS AND DAY USE WILL REMAIN CLOSED ALL SUMMER AND INTO THE FALL.

 

Parks Canada: Starting June 1, visitors will be permitted to access some trails, day use areas, and green spaces at some locations. Until then, all suspensions of visitor services and closures of facilities announced in March remain in place.

 

All camping facilities remain closed until at least June 21, 2020, while Parks Canada assesses whether and how these services might resume. Group activities and public events will be prohibited until further notice. All existing reservations set to take place prior to June 21, 2020, will be automatically cancelled and refunded in full.
