Community Wildfire Protection Plan

The Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) contains information regarding high-level general wildfire risk based on risk assessments completed by a licensed professional forester.

Assessing any specific threats in a particular year based on spring freshet, weather, drought conditions, forest conditions, etc. is completed by the BC Wildfire Service.

Report all fires

Residents and visitors are reminded to be very cautious and watchful and report all fires in Fort Nelson immediately by dialing 250.774.2222.

Fires outside of Fort Nelson should be reported to the BC Wildfire Service at 1.800.663.5555 or *5555 toll-free on most cell networks.
