Art Fraser Park

  • Bordered by the Alaska Highway, Fort Nelson Heritage Museum and 55th St.
  • Access from the Alaska Highway boulevard and 55th St.
  • The play-space contains a large play module, a small play module, a hippo climbing toy, a small house play center, dinosaur and grasshopper rocking toys, a small two seat tot swing-set, a large four seat swing-set, a sand box, gazebo and bench and picnic table seating
  • The large play module has a slide, a rope ladder, monkey bars, and rings
  • The small play module has two slides, a rope ladder and a fireman’s pole
  • Beside the play-space there is a treed area for play and shade
  • The park also includes three plumbed washrooms that are open during the summer months, one
    outhouse that is open year round, two full sized baseball diamonds with bleacher seating and covered dugouts, a full sized basketball court, two full sized tennis courts, two full sized beach volleyball courts and a water spray park 

Bob Price

  • Bordered by Mountainview Dr., Tuchodi Ave, Maxhamish Crescent and the Mountainview Condos
  • Access from Mountainview Dr., Tuchodi Ave, Maxhamish Crescent and the Mountainview Condos
  • The park contains a large green-space, several seating areas and a large gazebo which can be booked for weddings or other special occasions 

Cottonwood Park

  • Bordered by Cottonwood Rd., Willow Rd. and 53rd Ave.
  • Access from Cottonwood Rd., Willow Rd. and 53rd Ave.
  • The play-space contains a play module, a large four seat swing-set, a small two seat swing-set, a two seat tot swing-set, a rainbow climber and bench and picnic table seating
  • The play module has a dual slide, a fireman’s pole and monkey bars 

Gairdner Park

  • Bordered by Alpine Rd, Spruce Ave. and Gairdner Crescent
  • Access from Alpine Rd
  • The play-space contains a concrete bike path, a large play module, a large four seat swing-set, a
    dinosaur rocking toy, a basketball pad and a picnic table
  • The play module has two slides, monkey bars and two tot swings 

Gary Giffin

  • Bordered by 43rd St. and 52nd Ave.
  • Access along 43rd St. and 52nd Ave.
  • The play-space contains a play module, a two seat swing set, a two seat tot swing-set, a horse rocking toy, a car rocking toy and bench and picnic table seating
  • The play module has a dual slide, a fireman’s pole and monkey bars 

Klondike Park

  • Bordered by Airport Dr., 53rd Ave, 44th St., and 55th Ave.
  • Access from 53rd Ave. and Airport Dr. through the Klondike Townhouses
  • The play-space contains a large play module, a two seat swing-set, a two seat tot swing-set, a
    basketball pad, and bench and picnic table seating
  • The play module has a slide, a rope ladder, monkey bars, and rings 

Mile 301 Park

  • Bordered by the Alaska Highway
  • Access from mile 301 of the Alaska Highway
  • The play-space contains a large two seat swing-set and a large two seat tot swing-set
  • The park also includes two outhouses, a small baseball diamond with bleacher seating and a soccer pitch that is under construction 

Muskwa Park

  • Bordered by the Alaska Highway, Polar Board Rd. and the Klahanni trailer park
  • Access from Polar Board Rd. and the Klahanni trailer park
  • The play-space contains a metal climbing gym, a wooden play module, a large four seat swing-set, a large two seat tot swing-set, and bench and picnic table seating
  • The play module has a fireman’s pole, a slide and a tire swing
  • The park also includes a full-sized baseball diamond with bleacher seating and dugouts 

Skateboard Park

  • Bordered by Simpson Trail and 51st Ave.
  • Access from Simpson Trail and the north side of the park
  • The play-space contains multiple ramps and rails for use with skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles and scooters

HME Hill

  • Located at the end of 50th Ave. North and bordered by the Alaska Highway
  • At the base of the hill there is a fenced picnic area maintained year round that includes a fire pit, picnic table and benches

Pocket Parks

All along 50th Ave. North there are several seating areas along the sidewalk to stop and rest while walking through town

Northwestel Pocket Park

  • Located on the corner of the Northwestel lot next to the sidewalk
  • This location has one bench

Liard St. Pocket Park

  • Located on the corner of the parking lot of the Morris Building west of the junction of 50th Ave. N and Liard St.
  • This location has one bench

Subway Pocket Park

  • Located on the boulevard south and west of the junction of 50th Ave N and Airport Dr.
  • This location has one picnic table

Airport Rd Pocket Park

  •  Located at the junction of 50th Ave. North and Airport Dr.
  • This location has two picnic tables

44th St. Pocket Park

  •  Located along the sidewalk west of the junction of 50th Ave. N and 44th St.
  • This location has one bench

Millennium Pocket Park

  •  Located at the east end of 50th Ave. N east of the junction of 50th Ave. N and 42nd St.
  • This location has 3 benches, parking and is the start of the Community Trail that continues around the outside edge of the town.

Green Spaces

All green-spaces contain no equipment and are maintained grass areas for recreational use

Aspen Green-Space

  • Bordered by Poplar Ave., Aspen Crescent, Cottonwood Rd, 53rd Ave. and 41st St.
  • Access from Aspen Crescent, Cottonwood Rd, 53rd Ave. and 41st St.

Poplar Green-Space

  • Bordered by Poplar Ave., Aspen Crescent, Cottonwood Rd and 40th St.
  • Access from Poplar Ave.

Midtown Green-Space

  • Bordered by 52nd Ave and Heritage Crescent
  • Access from three sides from Heritage Crescent
