Strategic Plan

The Northern Rockies Regional Municipality develops a new Corporate Strategic Plan every four years to coincide with the election of a new Regional Council. Following that, the Strategic Plan is reviewed and updated annually.

The culmination of extensive deliberations over several months, the Vision, Core Values and Goals of Council is reflected in the 2019-2022 Strategic Plan. These priorities will guide every aspect of municipal budgets, goals, objectives and actions over the Council term. Using the Plan as a guide ensures the alignment of efforts with Council priorities, providing a framework for resource allocation and buidling consensus among Council members.

Moving forward, the NRRM will ensure that initiatives are centred on the goals within the Strategic Plan, reporting to Council periodically to measure progress towards Council’s objectives.  Regional Council is now reviewing actions and measures to complete the plan.

 Vision Statement

The NRRM will be resilient - using available resources to maintain balance across the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of the community.

With diverse choices and ample opportunities for employment, education, recreation, housing and health and wellness services, the Northern Rockies will thrive.

Environment

Infrastructure

The NRRM will make INFORMED DECISIONS regarding the building, operation, maintenance, renewal, replacement and disposal of infrastructure assets.
