Northern Rockies Regional Municipality

Bill has served the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality since 2002 as a Councillor for six years before being elected as Mayor in 2008. Bill was born and raised in Dawson Creek and worked in Fort Nelson since 1968.  In 1976 Bill started his own business with one truck hauling oilfield equipment.

In 2006, he sold his company, which was the largest oilfield transport company in northeastern  BC, as well as one of the largest bulk distributors in northeastern BC, Yukon and NWT.

Although semi-retired from his back ground in the oil and gas industry, Bill and his wife Sheryl still maintain an active role in the community. Bill continues to promote Fort Nelson to the oil and gas industry, and is a big advocate for local hire and continues to be right at home negotiating with major oil and gas, as well as lumber, companies.

Bill & Sheryl have three grown children, two in Fort Nelson and one in Edmonton, along with nine grandchildren. In 2013, Bill received the Queen's Jubilee Medal.

Bill has held a breadth of past Municipal Portfolios, Committee roles, and other Assignments.
