Northern Rockies Social Planning Council
is awarded a grant from the Vancouver Foundation
The Northern Rockies Social Planning Council (NRSPC) is thrilled to announce that they are successful recipients of a grant from the Vancouver Foundation. The Vancouver Foundation: "is the largest of Canada's 160 community foundations. They have been around since 1943 and focus on improving communities -- the places where we all live, work, play, and raise our kids. The place we call home."
After its inception, April 13, 2010, the NRSPC has worked to establish their Terms of Reference including their Vision, Mission, and Guiding Principles.
Vision Statement: The Northern Rockies Social Planning Council is a collaborative network that improves the wellbeing of the community and its diverse people.
Mission Statement: The Northern Rockies Social Planning Council works to identify and resolve social issues, to build a healthy, desirable community where all its members can reach their full potential.
The dollars received from the Foundation will be used to hire a coordinator to facilitate the outcomes established by the Council. If you are interested in further information on the coordinator's contract position please contact Karen Andrews @ 250.500.3193 no later than January 26, 2011 at 4:30pm.
The next meeting of the Council will be held at 3:30pm, Wednesday, February 2 at Northern Lights College. New members are welcome to attend.Go to Top
