Regional Council Procedure Bylaw Amendment

PUBLIC NOTICE
In accordance with the Community Charter, the Regional Council for the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality gives notice of their intent to amend the Regional Council Procedure Bylaw No.1, 2009 by adopting the following:
The Regional Council Procedure Amendment Bylaw No. 36, 2010 [PDF - 62 KB].
In general terms, the proposed bylaw:
- amends the "Designation of Member to Act in Place of the Mayor " to provide for greater flexibility to designate or amend appointed Acting Mayors for the community;
- confirms Council's longstanding policy on audio and visual recordings at Council meetings;
- updates the number for a Quorum to conduct business at Council meetings to 4 members; and
- amends the required time by which Regional Council meeting agendas must be made available, in order to allow for greater flexibility for those times when urgent or other matters prevent publication of the agenda.
Copies of the proposed bylaw may be inspected at the Municipal Office located at 5319 - 50th Avenue South, Fort Nelson, BC on any business day between July 28th, 2010 up to and including August 9th, 2010 between 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, or by following the link above.
