Cardboard Recycling

Untill 2009, Wide Sky Disposal (1989) Ltd. provided a free cardboard recycling service with the NRRM providing the use of Cardboard Recycling bins.  Due to unfortunate economic realities, cardboard recycling is currently unviable in the NRRM due to depressed markets and our distance to market.  Wide Sky Disposal and the NRRM will re-instate cardboard recycling as soon as such a program becomes viable again.

As with any local issue, the NRRM encourages ideas from its citizens.  If you have an idea that would expediate the reinstatement of cardboard recycling earlier, or if you have any idea related to increased recycling services in the NRRM, we would like to hear from you.  Visit our Contact Us page today.

Composting and Grasscycling

The NRRM has investigated providing some level of composting services.  If you have an idea, or wish to express your support or lack of support for this services, please use our Contact Us page to let us know.

To encourage responsible (bear-aware) backyard composting, and to inform citizens of ways to reduce their waste by composting, a Composting Information [PDF - 337 KB] is available.  For information on how to compost using worms at home, there are many great online resources.  You can use www.allaboutworms.com to start your research.

The NRRM also encourages Grasscycling - which reduces waste and generally promotes natural lawn health.  Our Grasscycling Info Sheet [PDF - 133 KB] also has tips on watering and other lawn health tips.
