Welcome to the Aquatic Centre!

The Aquatic Centre includes a large natatorium that consists of a 6-lane, 25m competitive pool with 1m and 3m high diving boards, aquatic climbing wall, a combined leisure/2 lane learner’s pool, hot-tub and a two storey water slide. This portion of the facility is supplemented with male and female change rooms, a separate family change room, sauna, steam room, activity room and staff areas.  General swims, swimming lessons, aquafit classes, water sports, special events, birthday parties, and the Fort Nelson Finns Swim Club are just a few of the services and programs offered here. Long-term memberships are now available!  Come to the customer service desk (located in the main lobby of the Recreation Centre) and you can get couple, family and individual passes for all ages in 1 month, 3 month, 6 month and annual denominations.  You can also get 10 use and 20 use passes (not available for family or couples).  With questions, please call 250-774-2541 ext 2080.


The pool will be closed from MAY 23RD - JUNE 6TH for our annual shutdown. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you hold a current membership that may be affected during this shutdown, please note that an extra two weeks has already been added onto your pass. Please see the NRRRC Customer Service Desk with any questions or concerns or give us a call at 250-774-2541 x 2080.

2017 Spring Swimming Lesson Schedule


Swim-Fit Masters

In this Master’s class, the main focus is fitness, endurance and efficiency.  Swimmers must have a strong ability to perform front crawl, back crawl, breast stroke, elementary back stroke and side stroke. Instructors will create workouts that will include drills, sprints, hypoxic training and pyramid style workouts. Instructors will also introduce, flip turns (for front and back crawl) as well as entries off the diving blocks. Drop-Ins Welcome!

  • Must be able to swim a minimum of 1000m (40 lengths, 1 km)

Goggles are highly recommended, swim caps are optional

Tuesdays & or Thursdays    April 18th -  May 18th     6:15am- 7:15am
Cost: $40.00 ($80.00 for both days) - 5 weeks for each day

National Lifejacket Day

Join us as we celebrate wearing lifejackets and PFD’s this summer! Preventable drownings occur during the summer months by people who are boating and not wearing their lifejackets! Join us at the pool Friday, May 18th and learn more about how you can be safe in the water by answering water trivia questions.
