Fort Nelson First Nation (FNFN) is a community of Dene and Cree people located adjacent to Fort Nelson, BC. The families of the FNFN have been here since time immemorial and their traditional territory covers a large portion of the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality. Today, the NRRM and FNFN enjoy close ties not only due to proximity, but also due to co-operative efforts with respect to regional development issues.
Fort Nelson First Nation is a member of the Treaty 8 tribal association, and operates two businesses: Eh Cho Dene Enterprises and the Liard River Hotsprings Lodge (go to TourismNorthernRockies.ca for more information on Liard River Hotsprings).
