This comprehensive online service for job seekers and employers brings together a wide range of resources including five main sections: career pathways, job seekers, employers, service providers, and labour market statistics. Employers will find information on hiring and retaining workers including resources on training, skills development, sources of labour, and tips on performance management.
The Employment and Labour Market Services branch of the Ministry of Housing and Social Development provides assistance to eligible employers through several different programs such as:
- Targeted Wage Subsidies to provide employers with incentives to hire eligible individuals they would not normally hire,
- Labour Market Partnerships to provide assistance to organizations involved in labour force adjustment and planning activities in the public interest, and
- Job Creation Partnerships with community organizations to deliver specific training or job-specific projects.
