Grant-in-Aid Requests

Grants-in-Aid are grants that Regional Council gives to community organizations, events, and other worthy causes that promote community well-being.

If you or your organization would like to request a Grant-in-Aid, use the following instructions or download the Grant-in-Aid Checklist [PDF - 18 KB].

  • Include a cover letter describing the organization or committee, the event or purpose of the funding, and reasons why a Grant-in-Aid is required
  • Provide a detailed budget outlining the costs associated with the event, or the purpose of the requested funding*
  • Include the budget from the same event from previous year(s), including funds remaining in the bank account (if event is annual), if available.
  • Provide a current financial statement demonstrating need (e.g. bank statement)
  • Include the name and contact information of the person preparing the submission
  • Provide the name and contact information (including email address(es)) of person(s) that will attend a Regional Council meeting as a delegation (if different from person responsible for preparing the submission).**
Please note:
*Council will not consider any Grant-in-Aid submission that does not include a budget.
**Person from organization is required to be present as a delegation at the Regional Council meeting within which Grant-in-Aid request is considered, to provide additional information if needed.
