Horn River Report Cards
The Community Development and Planning Department of the NRRM, the Service Sector Advisory Committee, the Fort Nelson and District Chamber of Commerce as well EnergyServicesBC have been working with the BC Ministry of Energy, Mines, and Petroleum Resources (EMPR), in the production of a "HRB Procurement Tracking Form [XLS - 244 KB]". EMPR has in turn been in close communication with the Horn River Basin Producer's Group to ensure a procedure that is clear and user-friendly.The purpose of the EMPR HRB Procurement Tracking Form [XLS - 244KB] is to provide facts about local procurement of Oil and Gas Services for the Horn River Basin development, specifically by the Horn River Basin Producers Group.
The Producer's Group has been very supportive of the initiative, and the NRRM looks forward to data being available by September 2009 regarding the 2008 procurement programs.
To encourage local procurement, the Producer's Group has funded a Procurement Office in Fort Nelson, organized by EnergyServicesBC. This office will open in August, 2009.
