The Community Development and Planning Department is charged with the responsibility of Economic Development in the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality. In this function we work to:
- Know our economy (Oil & Gas, Forestry, and Tourism being the strongest pillars) and our community,
- Engage in activities that result in businesses being attracted to and staying in the NRRM,
- Seek partnerships with other levels of government, industry, First Nations, and other local agencies to make the NRRM an attractive place to do business and invest, and
- Communicate opportunities to our local business community through
