Building Permits and Inspections
Where a Building Permit is Required:
- Any building being built over the size of 10 m2 (108 square feet)
- Decks over the size of 10 m2 (108 square feet)
- Additions
- Garages
- Woodstoves
- Moving a modular on a lot
- Renovations requiring structural changes to the building
- Alterations to a building
- Structural repairs are made to a building
What does not Require a Building Permit:
- Fences
- Landscape patios
- Minor repairs
- Interior minor architectural changes

Please Note: Construction noise is not permitted before 7:00 am and after 9:00 pm - Fine is $100.00.
